Château d'Armailhac 2016

A Pauillac with intense aromas and an elegant palate

Undoubtedly, 2016, judging by the density and texture of the Armailhac 2016, may be compared to the greatest vintages of the 21st century, such as the 2010 and 2005. Derived from a harvest collected between September 27th and October 14th, the Château Armailhac 2016 is a pure expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, which accounts for 62% of the blend, followed by 28% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% of Petit Verdot.

From its look, the Armailhac 2016 expresses depth and density. On the nose, it is with great intensity and real complexity that generous notes of bold, fresh black fruits emerge. Swirling reveals gourmet aromas of a light roast blended with blackberry and blueberry. The entry on the palate is lively and dynamic, allowing the texture and density to appear thereafter in the middle of the palate, upon elegant and well-rounded tannins with a refined grain, all interlaced with fine woody and licorice flavors. The finish, long and luscious, extends over aromas of red fruits and distinct notes of chocolate.
