Description
A Margaux wine with crunchy tannins
The property
The Château du Tertre is a grand cru from Margaux located on the left bank of Bordeaux. Since its purchase at the end of 1997 by Eric Albada Jelgersma, considerable investments have been made to sublime this exceptional and highly homogeneous terroir.
The vineyard
The Château du Tertre 2016 is a Margaux wine from a 52-hectare vineyard, planted on soils made up of Garonne gravels and glacial sands.
Vinification and aging
Aging in French oak barrels (of which 50% are new) for an average of 12 to 15 months.
Blend
75% cabernet sauvignon, 10% merlot, 10% cabernet franc, and 5% petit verdot.

Tasting
Nose
Harmonious bouquet combining fruity scents of blueberries and raspberries with more mineral notes of flint stone.
Palate
The attack on the palate is quite saline and the tannins are crunchy. The finish seduces with its persistence and freshness.
