The estate
One of the oldest estates in the Saint-Estèphe appellation, Château Haut-Marbuzet has a rich history dating back to 1770. Hervé Duboscq acquired the property in 1952 with the ambition of making great wines that reveal the full potential of these great terroirs on Bordeaux’s Left Bank.
The vineyard
Château Haut-Marbuzet 2015 is a Saint-Estephe wine from a 66-hectare vineyard. The vines are 30 years old on average and are planted on a hillside of Günzian gravel and a clay-limestone subsoil.
Winemaking and ageing
The grapes were harvested by hand and destemmed before vinification with a long maceration and daily pumping over. Aged in new barrels.

Tasting
Colour
The colour is profound, with a purplish tint.
Nose
The first nose is subtle, but during aeration the bouquet entices with its density and fruity (black fruit) framework, emphasised with balsamic notes.
Palate
The palate, with a lovely structure, mingles full tannins with a nice freshness.
