The expression and finesse of a Rhône Valley red wine
The property
The Delas Frères House, founded in 1835, embodies with panache the rich wine heritage of the Rhône Valley. Located in the heart of Tain L'Hermitage, it has built its reputation by highlighting the exceptional terroirs of this region. Over the generations, it has distinguished itself by its ability to create wines that faithfully reflect the richness and diversity of the Rhône soils.
The vineyard
Parcel selection, this Landonne comes from a namesake parcel located on the steep slopes of the right bank of the Rhône. Born in 1997, this Côte-Rôtie wine is made exclusively during great years.
Winemaking and aging
The vinification of La Landonne is based on traditional methods, passed down from generation to generation. After a selective manual harvest, the grapes are vinified in open vats, allowing a gentle extraction of tannins and aromas. Fermentation at controlled temperature. Vinification accompanied by punch downs and daily pump overs for about 10 days. Maceration for about twenty days. After devatting and pressing, malolactic fermentation begins in oak barrels, as does the aging of 14 to 16 months.
Blend
100% syrah.
