Description
Château Langoa Barton 2016: a harmonious Saint-Julien
The Château Langoa Barton is a Third Classified Growth of 1855 from the Saint-Julien appellation. With vines averaging 35 years of age, the 17-hectare vineyard benefits from gravel soil with a clay subsoil. The 2016 vintage took place from September 29 to October 1. The wine is aged in barrels (60% in new barrels). Château Langoa Barton 2016 is made from a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc.
At tasting, the Château Langoa Barton 2016 expresses fruity scents (black fruit, red fruit) on the nose mixed with more animal (leather) and spicy notes. On the palate, the wine is harmonious and reveals savoury hints of spice and oak on the finish.
The tasting note is intended to describe the general profile of the wine at a given moment. Be aware that the wine can evolve in the bottle over time and express other organoleptic qualities.
