Château Nénin 2024
Description
A powerful and mineral-rich grand red wine from Pomerol
The estate
Owned by the Delon Estates, the Château Nénin represents, according to the Delon family, "the expression of a grand Pomerol for aging". This 19th-century estate was acquired by the Delons in 1997 and underwent a major restructuring that has brought Château Nénin to the top of Pomerol today.
The vineyard
Located on the plateau of Pomerol, the vineyard of Château Nénin extends over an area of 30 hectares, with 15 dedicated to the Grand Wine and 17 for the second wine. The vines are planted on a mosaic of terroirs composed of clayey soils, siliceous gravels, quartz, granites, basalt pebbles, and iron slag.
Vinification and aging
Aging for 16 months in barrels (of which 40% are new).
Blend
This Château Nénin 2024 is the result of a blend of merlot (54%), cabernet franc (38%) and cabernet sauvignon (8%).
