With its 2018, the prestigious Domaine de Chevalier certainly celebrated one of the greatest white vintages ever produced by the emblematic property of Graves, south of Bordeaux.

2018 was an exceptional vintage, marked by extreme weather conditions: a rainy first six months, followed by a miraculous summer with high temperatures and plenty of sunshine right up to the date of the harvest. The fruit harvested showed a perfect balance of power, concentration and freshness.

Blending Sauvignon Blanc (75%) and Sémillon (25%), the Domaine de Chevalier White 2018 offers a magnificent expression of its terroirs and grape varieties, displaying all the typicality of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. The aromatic bouquet is very complex and opens upon beautiful notes of summer fruit, including apricot, vine peaches and exotic fruit notes. These are further enhanced by delicate floral notes of honeysuckle, acacia and hawthorn. The palate of this wine is delightful, coating the mouth with its deliciously creamy texture. Rich fruity flavours maintain a great freshness and a remarkable tension. This powerful palate stretches into a remarkably persistent and very fine length, marked by a certain mineral character. An exceptional vintage for Domaine de Chevalier, with promise of a beautiful evolution over time.
