Description
The richness and refinement of a Côte-Rôtie red wine
The estate
Since its creation in 1946, the Ferraton Père & Fils estate has become an emblematic reference of the wines of the Rhône Valley.
Advocating for several generations a viticulture respectful of the vine and men, the Ferraton Père & Fils estate produces wines that highlight the potential and aromatic finesse of great appellations such as Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu...
The vineyard
This Rhône Valley estate oversees an exceptional vineyard certified in Organic Agriculture since 1998 and then Demeter in 2010.
The wine
The L'Eglantine cuvée from Ferraton Père & Fils is made from vineyards of the Côte-Rôtie appellation exposed south / southeast on terraces with soils composed of mica schists and granite.
Vinification and aging
Following the harvest, the grapes undergo total destemming. The vinification in concrete vats for about 4 weeks is accompanied by punch-downs to promote optimal extraction. Maceration from 15 to 20 days. The aging is carried out in oak barrels for 16 to 18 months.
Blend
100% syrah.
