An Alsatian Pinot Gris combining richness and finesse
The property
After studying agronomy and oenology, Mélanie Pfister took over the family estate in 2008, founded in 1780. Located in Dahlenheim, near Strasbourg, it is one of the leading lights of the new generation of winemakers in the Bas-Rhin, a region now in the spotlight.
The vineyard
This wine from the Alsace appellation comes from a terroir with deep marl soils, exposed to the west with a slope of 25%. This particular configuration allows the Pinot Gris to develop all its aromatic complexity and characteristic structure.
Vinification and aging
This wine was vinified in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks, then aged on fine lees until bottling. This traditional method preserves the freshness and aromatic complexity of the wine.
