The vivacity and richness of a great Tokaji wine
The property
Oremus is one of those estates that, by merging with the illustrious Spanish estate Vega Sicilia, have embraced and magnified its philosophy. Thus, in this prestigious Hungarian vineyard, the continuous search for excellence, harmony with nature, as well as rigor are the order of the day. The prestige of the vineyard dates back to the 1630s, when Maté Szepsi Lacko made the first "Tokaj run-off wine" from grapes grown in the Oremus vineyard. He then offered it to the wife of the Prince of Transylvania, Princess Susana Lorántffy, to thank her for her delicate attentions towards the inhabitants of Tokaj. A century later, Oremus is already established as one of the most renowned estates in the world.
The vineyard
The 2023 Tokaji Late Harvest comes from vines that are on average 22 years old, planted on clay soil.

Then, the fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks for 15 to 25 days. The wine is then aged in Hungarian oak barrels for two months. Finally, it is refined in the bottle for an additional six months.
