Color
This Irish single malt presents a beautiful amber color with golden reflections.
Nose
The nose is intense, revealing complex aromas of crème brûlée and flowers, accompanied by notes of Provence herbs.
Palate
This Irish whiskey stands out for its supple and creamy texture. Flavors of praline and vanilla pod blend harmoniously with notes of exotic peppers. This spirit combines a velvety creaminess and an intensely aromatic peat, enhanced by the roundness brought by 12 years of aging in ex-Bourbon barrels.
An Irish Single Malt combining creamy sweetness and peaty character
The property
Connemara embodies a benchmark in Irish whiskey. Coming from the Cooley distillery, founded in 1987 in County Louth, it played a key role in the revival of Irish whiskey. Unique in its kind, it is the only peated Single Malt from Ireland, combining the finesse of Irish triple distillation with the aromatic intensity of peat, for a both rich and distinctive character.
Production and aging
After distillation, the spirit is aged for 12 years in ex-Bourbon barrels, allowing the whiskey to develop its sweet creaminess and complex aromas of pastry cream and fresh fruits.
