Tasting
Appearance
Beautiful bright gold color, luminous and attractive.
Nose
The bouquet opens with generous notes of vanilla, highlighted by the freshness of green apple and lime zest. Well-ripened tropical aromas - pineapple, peach, apricot - unfold, accompanied by a fine touch of ginger.
Palate
The attack is soft and velvety, marked by the intensity of exotic fruits such as pineapple, mango and peach, enhanced with a zest of lime. A subtle note of black pepper brings liveliness to the whole. The finish stretches on fruity flavors, punctuated by a hint of fresh mint and an elegant woody touch.
A Scottish single malt whisky imbued with elegance and balance
Glenburgie, a historic distillery in Speyside
Founded in 1810 under the name of Kilnflat, the Glenburgie distillery began its legal production in 1829. Located in the Speyside region near Forres, it benefits from the pure waters of local springs which significantly contribute to its characteristic fruity profile. After a major renovation in 2004, it became the property of Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard group) in 2005. Glenburgie has distinguished itself by its spirit of innovation, notably with the installation of Lomond stills in 1958 to create Glencraig whisky. With an annual production capacity of 4.2 million liters, this distillery is mainly known for its essential contribution to prestigious blends, while occasionally offering rare single malts with distinctive tropical notes.
An exceptional bottling signed Gordon & MacPhail
This Glenburgie 25 years is part of the prestigious "Distillery Labels" range from Gordon & MacPhail, a famous independent Scottish bottler. This collection pays tribute to the historic labels of partner distilleries, thus perpetuating a unique visual and gustatory heritage. Gordon & MacPhail has maintained a privileged relationship with the Glenburgie distillery for many years, carefully selecting the most expressive casks.
Bottled at 46% alcohol without cold filtration, this Scottish single malt preserves all its aromas and its creamy texture. The prolonged aging allows the whisky to fully develop its fruity and tropical character, while acquiring remarkable complexity and depth. The casks selected by Gordon & MacPhail give this Glenburgie a perfect balance between the distillery's characteristic fruity notes and the subtle influences of the wood, thus creating a single malt of great harmony.
