A Speyside single malt bottled by Hidden Spirits, balancing floral elegance and fruity freshness
Miltonduff, a historic distillery in Speyside
Founded in 1824 by Andrew Peary and Robert Bain, Miltonduff is one of the first legal distilleries in Scotland following the adoption of the Excise Act. Nestled near Elgin in the Speyside region, it has a rich and tumultuous history. Acquired by Hiram Walker in 1936, it then became an essential pillar of Ballantine's blends. The distillery stands out for its triple distillation heritage and traditional stills that shape a Scottish whisky with a floral and fruity character, typical of Speyside. Although mainly destined for prestigious blends, the distillery reveals its full personality through single malt bottlings like the one selected by Hidden Spirits.
An exclusive selection signed by Hidden Spirits
This Miltonduff 13 Years Hidden Spirit 2009 perfectly represents the philosophy of the independent Italian bottler founded in 2013 by Andrea Ferrari. Selected with passion, rigor, and expertise, this single cask embodies the mission of Hidden Spirits: to discover and share the best casks of Scottish whisky through exceptional limited editions.
Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2022 after 13 years of maturation, this whisky comes from a single first-fill bourbon cask. This exclusive maturation gives the spirit a rich aromatic palette where the floral and fruity characteristics typical of Miltonduff are fully expressed, enhanced by the vanilla and spicy notes of American oak.
Limited to only 248 bottles, each presented in an elegant case, this Miltonduff represents a rare opportunity to discover the pure expression of a historic Speyside distillery through the expert eye of a passionate independent bottler.
