What is the Ruinart taste?
Ruinart's taste is one of refinement and elegance, but above all it is the result of know-how born in 1729 in the heart of Champagne. This inimitable taste is also about nuance and the art of blending. A unique taste, but one that comes in many variations, all of which contribute to the Ruinart signature.
Dom Ruinart is no exception. This cuvée, which for decades has delighted the greatest connoisseurs, offers a sublime vintage expression of Ruinart taste. The uniqueness of the Dom Ruinart cuvée lies in its extraordinary character. In fact, this champagne is only made in exceptional years, crowning the best harvests. A tribute to the finest expression of time and terroir, Dom Ruinart is an iconic wine in the Champagne tradition.
The production of Dom Ruinart champagne
The production process for this aromatic expression is highly complex and exact. Only carefully hand-picked grapes from terroirs classified as Grand Cru are selected for the Dom Ruinart cuvées. The grape varieties used are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims, as well as from historic Grand Crus such as Sillery.
Harvested by hand, in sumptuous, temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, with the dosage incredibly precise, aged for close to a decade in precious caskets that lie dormant in the heart of the house's chalk pits, a UNESCO World Heritage Site: The Dom Ruinart cuvée follows every stage of a winemaking process that has a prestige equalled only by its precision.
It is from this perfect mastery of an ancestral art of winemaking that the character of Dom Ruinart is born. In order to explore its subtleties, the House has created a Blanc de Blancs champagne and a rosé champagne to express its delicious, complex and refined style.
