Description

A delicious and generous fine red wine from Pessac-Léognan

The estate

The name of Domaine de La Solitude originates from a rule of the community of the Holy Family: to pray in the silence of solitude. The community moved to the estate in the 19th century. The nuns decide to entrust the wine management of this Pessac-Léognan estate to outside parties. Since 1993, Olivier Bernard has been managing the estate. A very old property in Martillac, Domaine de la Solitude is distinguished by the quality of its wines, offering a fantastic value for money. These wines are accessible in their youth, but also promise a good evolution over years of ageing in bottle.

The vineyard

Domaine de la Solitude is a Pessac-Léognan red wine made from a 30-hectare vineyard that rests on clay and gravel soils.

Vinification and ageing

Sorting on the table. Vatting by gravity. Aged for one year in barrels.
