The vineyard
Les Granits 2022 from M. Chapoutier is a Saint-Joseph wine that stems from a meticulous selection of old Syrah vines, planted on poor granite and stony soils.
The vintage
The year 2022 in the Rhone Valley saw a particularly hot and dry summer, offset by restorative rains as the harvest approached. Despite these extreme conditions, this vintage, which is more luminous than sunny, entices through its balance, its aromatic brightness and its complexity, all of which augur well for its exceptional ageing potential.
