The vivacity and fruitiness of a red wine from the Rhône Valley
The property
An emblematic name of the great wines of the Northern Rhône Valley, the House Paul Jaboulet-Aîné was founded in 1834 in Tain-l'Hermitage. The renowned oenologist and winemaker Caroline Frey has been running this illustrious house, owned by the Frey family since 2006. The House of Paul Jaboulet-Aîné oversees a vineyard of 125 hectares of vines, spread over exceptional appellations such as Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage, Cornas, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu or even Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise.
The vineyard
The Parallèle 45 cuvée from Paul Jaboulet-Aîné is a Côtes du Rhône wine produced exclusively in organic farming. The vines, averaging 40 years old, are planted on soils composed of rolled pebbles on the right bank of the Rhône and clay-limestone alluvium on the other bank.
The wine
The name of this wine refers to the 45th North parallel which passes near the domain's cellars.
The vintage
Marked by episodes of frost, winter and spring are particularly dry. The high summer temperatures are offset by significant rainfall in mid-August, ensuring progressive and optimal ripening until the harvest.
Vinification and ageing
This Rhône wine is the result of 6 months of ageing in stainless steel tanks and truncated tanks.

Grenache (53%)
Syrah (37%)
Mourvèdre (5%)
