Description
A lively and balanced red wine from Pommard
The estate
Founded in 1750, Chanson is one of the most famous houses in Burgundy. The estate is located in a bastion erected at the beginning of the 16th century as a guard tower with 8-meter-thick walls, nicknamed "La Tour des Filles" and today dedicated to the aging of the house's wines. Well known to lovers of great Burgundy wines, the Chanson estate offers confidential cuvées that brilliantly reveal the expression of the greatest wine-growing villages of the Côte de Beaune.
The Chanson estate spreads over 45 hectares of vineyards planted in the most beautiful appellations of the Côte de Beaune, (Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Beaune, Savigny-Les-Beaune, Corton…), exclusively in Premiers and Grands Crus.
The vineyard
Coming from vineyards located on the slopes of the village of Pommard, and resting on clay-limestone soils, this cuvée pays tribute to this terroir among the most reputed of the Côte de Beaune.
Grape variety
Pinot noir (100%).
