Description
A racy and silky Saint-Émilion
Fruit of the labour of passionate winemaker Jean-Noël Boidron, the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru - Château Corbin Michotte 2018 – has produced a wonderful new vintage.
Located on the right bank of Bordeaux, Château Corbin Michotte expands over a 7-hectare vineyard planted on the great terroirs of Saint-Émilion, not far from Pomerol.
Château Corbin Michotte is one of the few estates whose vineyards have never been treated with herbicides. On an exceptional terroir, the vines of Château Corbin Michotte are planted in soils of gray-brown sandy loam upon a highly ferruginous argillaceous subsoil, the famous "iron grime". The vines are 50 years old on average, consisting of Merlot (65%), Cabernet Franc (30%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%).
Vinified with the greatest respect for the fruit and its terroir of origin, the Château Corbin Michotte 2018 is aged 22 to 24 months in oak barrels. The 3 oenologists of the Boidron family develop this exceptional wine to show off a unique personality and style. A great wine for ageing, the Château Corbin Michotte is one of the great Saint-Émilion wines that can also be enjoyed in their youth because of bright fruit and silky tannins.
