Description
2014 Pessac-Leognan, Premier Cru Classé from Bordeaux
In 2014, Chateau Haut-Brion carried out a precise work, as usual. Indeed, it vinified a refined, complete, precise and well-made Pessac-Leognan. This wine's aromatic richness comes from the Merlots' ripeness and the Cabernets' (Franc and Sauvignon) freshness that slowly and fully ripened during a perfect month of September. This inky purple-tinted red hued 2014 Haut-Brion displays a beautiful and delicate nose, marked by black berries such as blackberry and blackcurrant, followed by light empyreumatic notes. The palate is structured by generous, thick-grained tannins. The strong and elegant texture lingers on the finish. This Premier Cru Classé is subtlety structured and offers a great ageing potential.
