Description
The absolute success of an exceptional Saint-Julien
As an emblematic vintage of the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation, Château Léoville-Poyferré has become one of the greatest wines on the Left Bank in the Bordeaux region.
In line with the exceptional 2009 vintage, the 2010 marks the culmination of a prodigious vintage for Château Léoville-Poyferré.
The Leoville-Poyferre 2010 is perfectly executed to reveal the profile of a Saint-Julien that dazzles with depth and balance. It offers a chiselled bouquet that highlights the perfect ripeness of the fruit. The character of each grape variety expresses itself harmoniously to emphasise the aromatic purity of Cabernet Sauvignon (56%) that dominates the blend. It is also complemented with Merlot (34%), Petit Verdot (7%) and Cabernet Franc (3%). With elegance and refinement, the vintage reveals its generous personality through its ample and fleshy texture that is chiselled with fruity tannins of great finesseand silky delicacy. All of this testifies to the great mastery of winemaking.
The Chateau Leoville-Poyferre 2010 is an exceptional vintage that combines the power of the great 2005 and the classic elegance of the 2008, and it is indeed one of the greatest vintages from the estate that promises longevity.
