Description
The character of a Burgundy red wine
The estate
A reference among the great wines of Burgundy, Domaine Comte Armand illustrates through each of its wines the aromatic richness and nuances of the great terroirs of Volnay, Auxey-Duresses and Pommard.
The vineyard
The "Clos des Epeneaux" Monopole 2020 from Comte Armand is a Pommard Premier Cru wine from a 5.23-hectare vineyard, created by Nicolas Marey at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century. It is one of the major monopolies of the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits. The Clos des Epeneaux located in the heart of the village of Pommard was acquired in 1828 by the family of Count Armand. The vines are between 30 and 80 years old and are partly the result of a massal selection.
