A Grand Cru from Burgundy with an imposing and silky structure

The property

Founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot, the Albert Bichot house is a pillar of Burgundy, with family roots dating back to 1214. Today led by Albéric Bichot, it extends over 250 hectares, including prestigious estates such as Long-Depaquit in Chablis and du Pavillon in Pommard. The house stands out for its dual expertise as a trader and owner, its commitment to organic farming, and its role in the recognition of Burgundy climates by UNESCO.

The vineyard

The Latricières-Chambertin is a satellite of the prestigious Chambertin, located on the border with the Morey-Saint-Denis appellation. This exceptional terroir rests on a clay-limestone soil on marl and Bajocian limestone, covered with a thin layer of silica from the debris of the Grissard comb. This poor soil contributes to the notes of wild fruits and subtle and complex spices that characterize this grand cru.

Vinification and aging

Careful vinification in thermo-regulated oak vats for 20 to 28 days. The aging then takes place 100% in oak barrels, 50% of which are new wood, for a period of 14 to 16 months, allowing the wine to develop its complexity and finesse.

Grape variety

100% pinot noir.
