A Generous and Delicate Wine from Piedmont
The Estate
A prestigious reference of the Barolo appellation, Azienda Agricola Brezza Giacomo e Figli has owned vineyards since 1885. The first vintage of the estate was born in 1910. Still driven by the same passion and holder of preserved know-how, the fourth generation of the Brezza family now manages the estate. Located in the historical heart of the Barolo appellation, in the province of Cuneo, in Piedmont, in the north of Italy, Azienda Agricola Brezza is situated 500 meters from the entrance of the village of Barolo and produces sublime Italian wines on these lands.
The Vineyard
The estate of Azienda Agricola Brezza extends over a total surface of 31 hectares for 20 hectares of vineyards, classified in DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) or in DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata). The vineyards of Azienda Agricola Brezza are located on some of the most prestigious plots of the appellation, in the municipalities of Monforte, Novello and Alba. Azienda Agricola Brezza notably owns a plot on Cannubi, which is one of the most renowned crus of Barolo and the oldest Italian cru with recognition granted as early as 1752. The estate is run under certified organic farming. Combining tradition and innovation, Azienda Agricola Brezza continues the desire to offer wines that express all the typicity of the Langhe, the characteristics of the grape variety and the different terroirs of Barolo.
The Santa Rosalia 2018 cuvée from Brezza is a wine from Piedmont made from a vineyard of nearly 1.3 hectares located in the municipality of Barolo. Planted in 2004, the vines are west-facing at an altitude of 300 meters.
