The vineyard
With more than 250 different plots including the prestigious Clos du Mesnil and Clos d’Ambonnay, the Krug House holds an exceptional vine heritage in Champagne.
The wine
Every year since its foundation, Krug unveils a new edition of its Grande Cuvée to offer the most generous expression of champagne.
The Krug Grande Cuvée 161st Edition was born around the 2005 harvest, a year marked by patience and diligence. The wines of the year, with their vibrant character, made up 68% of the final blend. The House also carefully selected reserve wines from its vast library, including more than 14 different vintages, thus revealing a champagne of remarkable complexity and delicacy.
