Description

Ruinart Rosé: a gourmet, fresh and elegant champagne wine

The property

The first Champagne House founded in 1729, Ruinart is an essential reference. The historic Ruinart Champagne House owes its birth to the visionary and pioneering monk Dom Thierry Ruinart. Located in the heart of Reims, the Ruinart House guards a treasure. Unique, historical monuments and architectural feats, the Ruinart chalk pits have been classified as a historical site since 1931 and have been listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since July 2015. Nearly 40 meters underground, in the darkness and coolness of the cathedral-like cellars, the precious bottles wait before coming into the light. Elegance, style and timelessness define the DNA of the Ruinart Champagne House, one of the most appreciated brands in France, embodying the excellence of a French lifestyle around the world.

The vineyard

An exceptional cuvée, Ruinart Rosé is made from prestigious terroirs of Champagne, namely the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne.

The wine

Ruinart innovated in the 18th century by creating the Ruinart Rosé champagne, recognized for its great delicacy and as the first cuvée of this type ever created.

Blend

Pinot noir (55%) of which 18 to 19% is vinified in red.
Chardonnay (45%)
This blend harmoniously combines the freshness of chardonnay with the roundness and character of pinot noir, complemented by 20 to 25% of reserve wines from the previous two years.

Characteristics and tasting advice for Ruinart Brut Rosé

Tasting

Color
With a pomegranate color and orange reflections, Ruinart Rosé champagne has lively bubbles of great lightness, with an extremely persistent cord.

Nose
The nose seduces with its alliance between subtlety and freshness, first developing aromas of exotic fruits and small red fruits, before expressing fine notes of roses and pomegranates that complete its complexity and sublime intensity.

Palate
The palate reveals a frank attack, offering flavors of crunchy red fruits, as well as a remarkable balance. This Rosé champagne is gourmet and fresh, before an elegant and lively finish combining minty and citrus touches.
