Description
A red wine from Saint-Julien with solid tannins
A 4ème Cru Classé en 1855 produced in the Saint-Julien appellation, Château Talbot benefits from a vineyard with a total area of 105 hectares. The vines, which are aged 58 years on average, are planted in soils composed of Médoc gravel. The wine is aged in barrels, half of them in new barrels. The 2010 vintage is composed of a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
At tasting, the Château Talbot 2010 reveals itself to be subtle, developing on the nose fragrances of candied plums and roasted notes that mingle with the slight hints of wood. Dense on the palate, the wine is fleshy and offers great depth. The finish shows off tannins of great solidity, not lacking in refinement and ending with a touch of licorice.
