Description
A Pommard 1er cru wine from a great Burgundy terroir
The property
The Guy Amiot et Fils estate was founded in 1920 in Chassagne-Montrachet. Currently led by Thierry and Fabrice Amiot, with the participation of the fifth generation, Héloïse, the estate stands out for its family heritage and its commitment to sustainable farming. A pioneer in Burgundy, it was one of the first to bottle its own wines in the 1930s.
The vineyard
This Burgundy estate spans 29 appellations in the Côte de Beaune, including the prestigious Grand Cru Le Montrachet.
The wine
The Pommard 1er cru "Clos des Arvelets" comes from a 0.2 hectare plot ideally facing due south. This exceptional terroir, located on the heights of Pommard, benefits from a limestone soil mixed with alluvium and loam that gives the wine its characteristic structure. The vines, averaging 70 years old, naturally produce low yields, ensuring optimal concentration of aromas.
Grape variety
This Pommard 1er cru "Clos des Arvelets" 2022 from Domaine Guy Amiot et Fils is 100% pinot noir.
Storage
Accessible from 2027-2030, this wine can be cellared until around 2032.
