Description
The Finesse and Generosity of a Pomerol
The second wine of Château La Connivence, La Belle Connivence was born from a collaboration between three wine-loving friends: Johan Micoud (former international footballer) Matthieu Chalmé (Girondins de Bordeaux soccer player) and Alexandre de Malet Roquefort (winemaker in Saint-Emilion).
La Belle Connivence cuvée is made from the young vines of the estate, offering the unique expression of the legendary Pomerol appellation, in a style full of generosity and finesse.
Made in the same spirit as the Grand Vin of the property, the Château La Belle Connivence 2017 nevertheless maintains its own personality. Vinified under the watchful eye of oenologist Claude Gros and Stéphane Derenoncourt's team of consulting winemakers, the Château La Belle Connivence 2017 consists of a blend dominated by Merlot (70%) and complemented by Cabernet Franc (30%). The extreme care taken in the treatment of the vines and in the micro-parcel vinification allowed the team to obtain the very best in the 2017 vintage. With a profile marked by beautiful aromatic freshness and an interesting balance, the Château la Belle Connivence 2017 serves as a great introduction to the style of La Connivence.
