A precise and refined Chablis Grand Cru wine
The estate
Founded in 1923 following the action of Abbé Balitrand, the cooperative La Chablisienne is the most important producer of Chablis wines. From Petit Chablis, to Chablis, through Chablis Premiers Crus and Chablis Grands Crus, without forgetting the vintages of the legendary Château Grenouille, La Chablisienne produces around thirty different vintages and crus which allow lovers of great Burgundies to discover the multiple personalities of Chablis wines.
The vineyard
"Les Preuses" 2004 from La Chablisienne est a Chablis Grand Cru wine that stems from vineyards placed on the right bank of the Serein. Facing south-west, the vines, on average 30 years old, are planted on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils.
Winemaking and ageing
Static cold settling. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations were carried out in barrels and vats. This Chablis Grand Cru was aged for 20 months on fine lees, in vats and in barrels.
Blend
