Description
The freshness and elegance of a Saint-Émilion Second Wine
The estate
Château Angélus is one of Saint- Émilion’s prestigious Premier Grand Cru Classés "A." This legendary estate on Bordeaux’s Right Bank was founded in 1782 and, for eight generations, the Boüard de Laforest family has overseen this exceptional heritage.
The vineyard
Carillon d’Angélus, the estate’s Second Wine, is a Saint-Émilion wine that stems from an 18-hectare vineyard where the plots are spread over clay and clay-sand-limestone soils and draining soils.
The vintage
The summer of 2016 was marked by three months of drought. Despite the extreme conditions, the grapes harvested produced a great quality vintage.
Blend
Merlot (75%)
Cabernet Franc (25%)
