The property

Established in Puligny-Montrachet since 1635, the Domain Olivier Leflaive has perpetuated the tradition of great Burgundy wines by offering one of the most beautiful expressions of chardonnay in the world. At the head of a must-see domain in Burgundy, Olivier Leflaive has established himself as an emblematic character of the Côte de Beaune. Patiently built up, Olivier Leflaive's vineyard now extends over 17 hectares of vines located on the greatest terroirs of Burgundy.

The vineyard

"Fichots" is a Pernand-Vergelesses wine from an 11.20 hectare vineyard, located between 230 and 250 meters above sea level, and whose vines, averaging 22 years old, rest on clay-limestone soils.

The vintage

The year 2022 is marked by higher than average seasonal temperatures, episodes of frost in early April and a particularly sunny summer.

Vinification and ageing

Manual harvest before sorting and total destemming. Alcoholic fermentation in open vat with maceration of 19 days. Ageing of 16 months (including 4 months en masse) in barrels (including 20% new).

Blend

Pinot noir (100%).
