Château de la Chaize : Key Points

The vines, which have been planted since the château's inception, face south-east and lie on a mosaic of soils, slopes and hillsides. In a never-ending quest for excellence, a cellar was built in 1771, including a 108m cellar,which gives rise to fine Beaujolais wines that are greatly adored in the United States and by the Courts of England.

Overlooking a 150-hectare terroir, predominantly made up of Gamay, Château de La Chaize exudes the nuances of the Beaujolais appellations such as Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly and Fleurie.

Christophe Gruy acquired the property in 2017. This industrialist from Lyon then commenced a vast energy and environmental transition project, as well as major work on the vineyard, installations and vinification methods.
