Discovering the universe of Liber Pater is entering a world of wine like nowhere else. Incomparable, Liber Pater is in comparable and is nothing of the style of Bordeaux wines that we know. The signature of Liber Pater is the constant search for excellence and authenticity. Liber Pater symbolizes the timelessness of a wine tradition whose origins begin more than 12,000 years ago. Liber Pater is described as "Beyond Fashion and Beyond Time", and God of Wine and Wine of the Gods.
The husband and wife team, Loïc and Alona Pasquet, have worked together to regain the authenticity of the taste of fine Bordeaux wines as they were at the time of the Official Classification of 1855, and to preserve the wine heritage of a tradition closely associated with the culture of France.
With a passion and an uncompromising commitment, Loïc Pasquet has worked to make his vineyard a veritable reserve of 14 pre-phylloxera grape varieties as they once existed in Bordeaux. Among this greenery where the search for the natural balance between the vineyard and the environment is a constant quest, each grape expresses all its typicality.
Liber Pater is firmly inscribed in a separate dimension with its exceptional density of 20,000 vines per hectare that has a preference for ungrafted rootstock varieties over grafted ones. The estate also uses special soil treatments and unusual vineyard management techniques that are not common Bordeaux.
Liber Pater promises a discovery of Bordeaux never seen before. The estate plays to the beat of its own drummer, is full of promise, is unique and is unclassifiable.
