Nose
A vibrant and powerful nose, marked by fresh aromas of blackcurrant and cherry. Finesse, elegance and balance are expressed through aromas of forest fruits, plum, citrus and quince. An enchanting grape freshness intensifies with the development of the nose, enriched by floral and herbaceous scents, notably violet.

Palate
A wave of small fruits emerges on the palate, supported by firm and well-integrated tannins, offering an elegant structure.

The estate

Founded in 1692 by Job Bearsley, Taylor’s is one of the oldest and respected Port houses, symbolising ancestral know-how passed down from generation to generation. Since its creation over three centuries ago, Taylor’s has never left the family fold and has managed to preserve its independence. With vineyards located in the Douro Valley, this emblem of Portuguese viticulture controls the entire process of making its Port wines, from the vineyard to the cellar. Particularly famous for its exceptional cuvées, the estate has built a solid reputation thanks to its Vintage Ports.

The vineyard

Nestled in the heart of the Douro Valley, the vineyard benefits from an exceptional terroir that contributes to the quality of its ports. The schistous soils and hot, dry summers create ideal conditions for vine cultivation.

The vintage

The 2022 vintage will be remembered for unprecedented drought and climatic conditions in the region, despite the life-saving rains of September. In the end, the berries are smaller, concentrated and have superb balances. Rich and opulent, the wines reveal a beautiful freshness, supported by an exceptional fruity structure, overflowing with dense and pure black fruits.
