The estate

The beautiful Maison Vincent Girardin began its story in 1980. At the age of 19 and born into a winemaking family since the 17th century, Vincent Girardin started his viticultural activity with the two hectares of vineyards inherited from his parents. A true winemaker and passionate, Vincent Girardin quickly made a name for himself among the greats of the Côte de Beaune. Founded in 1992, the Maison Vincent Girardin has since become one of the most beautiful references of the Côte de Beaune, in Burgundy. Since 2000, the talented Éric Germain has been following in the footsteps of Vincent Girardin, passionately revealing the exceptional terroirs of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet.

The vineyard

The vines are located in Pommard, north of the village near Volnay (Vaumuriens), on very clayey soils with limestone on the surface. Guyot pruning with disbudding, trellising and topping.

Vinification and aging

Manual harvest, sorting on the vine and sorting table. After crushing and destemming, the grapes are put in stainless steel tanks, sometimes with whole harvests. Cold maceration, controlled fermentation, pumping over and punching down. Pneumatic pressing, aging in barrels (30% new) for 15 months with malolactic fermentation. Blend and slight filtration one month before bottling.
