The estate
Located on the edge of Pomerol and in the western part of the Saint-Émilion appellation, Château La Dominique is one of the most prestigious properties on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region. Boldness, precision and generosity are the key words that guide this Grand Cru Classé in the making of its wines.
The vineyard
Château La Dominique 2022 is a Saint-Émilion wine produced from a 25-hectare vineyard. The vines are 30 years old on average and benefit from an exceptional terroir combining clay-gravel, clay-limestone and sandy soils on clay.
Winemaking and ageing
The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates and vinified in temperature-controlled truncated cone-shaped vats. The wine is aged for 14 months in barrels (50% new, 40% one wine) and 10% in vegetable polymeric eggs, in amphoras and in wine globes.)
Blend
This Château La Dominique 2022 is a blend of Merlot (88%), Cabernet Franc (11%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (1%).
