Château Saint-Pierre 2016: a Pomerol with powerful and soft tannins

A red wine produced in the Pomerol appellation, Château Saint-Pierre boasts a vineyard of 1.6 hectares. The vines, which are aged 30 years on average, benefit from sandy-gravel soils rich in dirt iron. The property includes a vineyard consisting of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Château Saint-Pierre 2016 is aged for 18 months in oak barrels.

With its deep dark colour, almost black, the Château Saint-Pierre 2016 develops power on the nose with toasted notes and ripe fruit. One can experience a real pleasure on the palate, where the wine blends perfectly roundness and density. The tannins are nice and soft but showing great power.
