Description
The indulgence and finesse of a great champagne from Maison Duval-Leroy
The property
Located at the tip of the Côte des Blancs in Champagne, Maison Duval-Leroy has made it a point of honor to respect its 3 core values since its creation in 1859: protect, perfect and transmit. Highly committed at the ecological level, the Champagne Duval-Leroy House offers champagnes expressing their terroir and the typicity of each vintage.
Elegance, minerality and brightness define the champagnes of Maison Duval-Leroy, recognized for their great aromatic complexity and structure.
The vineyard
Femme de Champagne Grand Cru comes from a selection of the best Grand Cru plots supplying Maison Duval-Leroy since the early 1990s. The vines, with an average age of 35 to 45 years, are certified HVE level 3 and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne, just like the entire vineyard of Maison Duval-Leroy.
Vinification and aging
The parcel vinification is carried out in stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels. The blend is vinified to the extent of 13% in oak barrels to provide structure and enhance the silky texture of this cuvée. Once bottled, the champagne rests on lees for more than 6 years in the house's chalk cellars. The dosage of this cuvée is about 5 g/liter.
Blend
Chardonnay (87%) and pinot noir (13%).
