A saline and elegant rosé wine from the Côtes de Provence
The property
Built under the reign of Napoleon III, Château Minuty was purchased in 1936 by Gabriel Farnet who undertook to restore its former splendor. Thus, in 1955, the property entered the small circle of the 23 Classified Growths of Provence and then crossed paths with Monique and Etienne Matton who, thanks to their dedicated work, greatly contributed to establishing the reputation of Château Minuty on the finest tables of the French Riviera. Today, brothers Jean-Etienne and François Matton are proudly carrying on the legacy while infusing the estate with a modern spirit.
The vineyard
At the origin of great wines from the Côtes de Provence, the 160 hectares of vineyards of Château Minuty cover the Saint-Tropez peninsula. On the slopes of Gassin and Ramatuelle, the vineyard benefits from a Mediterranean climate. The sea breezes from the coast preserve the health of the grapes throughout the year. The soils vary between shale and limestone, allowing the different grape varieties of the house to be grown where they flourish best. Cultivated using sustainable viticulture, the vines are cared for in a preserved environment with a rich ecosystem. To ensure optimal and consistent quality, a mass selection is carried out among a collection of 30-year-old Grenache on average.
The wine
Born in 2009, this cuvée is the result of a desire to refine the delicacy, taste elegance, and aromatic richness characteristic of the estate. Thus, this rosé wine comes from a rigorous selection among the best Provençal terroirs.
