Description
A wonderfully balanced and fresh Burgundy red wine
The estate
Located on the best terroirs in Givry, Domaine de la Ferté benefits from an exceptional vineyard. And for good reason: with a south-east exposure, south for the best plots, and clay-limestone soils, all the conditions are in place for this remarkable terroir to produce great wines. With its 6 hectares of vines, including 1 hectare of Premier Cru 'La Servoisine,' the estate promises wines that are as grandiose as they are exclusive. With its exceptional climats, Domaine de la Ferté is one of today's most sought-after estates.
The vineyard
Givry Village 2022 from Domaine de la Ferté is a Burgundy wine that stems from a rich and complex clay-limestone terroir. The plot is placed on a hillside facing east, benefitting from an optimal exposure to the sun. The semi-continental climate allows the grapes to reach ideal ripeness.
Winemaking and ageing
This Givry wine is the result of meticulous work both in the vineyard and in the cellar: to guarantee quality, the grapes are carefully harvested and sorted by hand. Once de-stemmed, the grapes are placed in vats for maceration and fermentation for around 15 days. Finally, the wine is aged in 228-litre Burgundy barrels.
