The estate
In the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the Domaine du Château de Meursault is one of the legendary winemaking estates of Burgundy. Having borne witness to over 1,000 years of history, the Château de Meursault is a true jewel in Burgundy, now owned by the Halley family.
The vineyard
The Domaine du Château de Meursault oversees an exceptional vineyard in Burgundy, spread across 65 hectares, from Puligny-Montrachet to Aloxe-Corton, certified in Organic Agriculture since 2019.
The wine
Clos des Chênes 2022 from Domaine du Château de Meursault is a Volnay Premier Cru wine from a plot 2.63 hectares on the top of the hill of its eponymous village. The vines, facing east/south-east, rest on a soil made up of white marls.
Winemaking and ageing
Following the harvest, the bunches were destemmed. Pre-fermentation maceration from 15-18 days in vats then fermentation of 5-6 days. Ageing for a period of 15-18 months took place in new casks (30%) and in casks of one or two wines.

Pinot Noir (100%).
