The estate

Founded in 1782 and present in 9 appellations of Burgundy, the Domaine Henri Rebourseau is one of the most significant properties in terms of the surface area of Grands Crus owned in Côte de Nuits. The estate houses a heritage of exceptional vines planted on lands cultivated for over 1,400 years. Today, the de Surrel family watches over this exceptional heritage by practicing organic and biodynamic agriculture. Thus, there is no "Rebourseau taste", and the quality advocated is that of the climate forming the heart of the wine's identity.

The wine

"La Brunelle" is a Gevrey-Chambertin Village wine from a 2.78-hectare plot cultivated as a monopoly by the estate. The vines, averaging 33 years old, rest on brown limestone soils with a subsoil composed of silt, sand, and clay.

Vinification and aging

The macerations have allowed for the production of colored and balanced wines with a good aging potential. Minimal intervention was favored during the very rapid vinifications for this vintage.
