The estate

Run by the three Ravaille brothers, Jean-Marc, Pierre and Xavier, the Héritage du Pic Saint-Loup is an emblematic estate in the Languedoc. The estate is located in a grandiose setting, bathed by the influence of the majestic Pic Saint-Loup and the Mediterranean, on the hills of Saint-Mathieu de Tréviers. Thanks to the work of the three brothers, the estate has distinguished itself by the style of its wines, offering one of the finest expressions of the Languedoc. Devoted to their vines, the Ravaille brothers cultivate the vineyard biodynamically, without any use of pesticides and with ploughing of the soil.

The vineyard

The estate's vineyard is located on a very large Languedoc terroir with a real mosaic of soils. The vines are planted on soils of hard limestone, soft limestone, conglomerates, dolomite, limestone scree of fluvial origin and marl. The Pic Saint-Loup area is characterised by its sufficient winter rainfall, dry summers and large temperature variations between night and day, allowing an ideal ripening cycle for the vine. The characteristics of this area make it possible to speak of the "climatic singularity of the Pic Saint-Loup, which persists regardless of the vintage."
