Located in the DO Ribera del Duero, the Bodega Pago de los Capellanes is one of the big names in viticulture in Spain. It was recently voted in the top 100 best winemakers in the world by Wine & Spirits magazine.
First and foremost, the Bodega Pago de los Capellanes tells the story of a family’ passion, the Rodero Villa. The family’s first winery project was the Bodega Pago de los Capellanes in 1996 in the Pedrosa de Duero municipality.
In a prestigious area of the Ribera del Duero that is considered to be one of the best in the appellation, the Bodega Pago de Los Capellanes vineyard benefits from favourable climatic conditions that allow the berries to ripen fully while maintaining a good degree of alcohol. The average 20°C temperature difference between day and night make it possible to preserve the freshness, aromas and acidity of the berries while ensuring optimal tannins due to the thicker skins of the grapes.
The wines of the Bodega Pago de Los Capellanes are renowned for their excellence and personality. Their vision of viticulture is both traditional and modern in which precise winemaking brings the expression of their terroirs and the typicity of grape varieties into the wines.
Intensity, expressiveness, colour, structure and power, the character of the wines of Pago de los Capellanes captures all the richness and diversity of the Ribera del Duero.
