The estate

Founded in 1692 by Job Bearsley, Taylor's is one of the oldest and most respected Port Houses, a symbol of the age-old craft of Port making that has been passed down from generation to generation. Since its inception over three centuries ago, Taylor's has never left the family fold and has maintained its independence. With vineyards located in the Douro Valley, this icon of Portuguese wine-making controls the entire process of making its Port wines, from the vineyard to the cellar. Tasting

Colour
A perfect illustration of the great age of the wines making up this cuvée, the port has an alluring colour of black tea, adorned with subtle yellow-gold and olive-green highlights.

Nose
The nose harmoniously exudes the aromatic richness conferred by decades of ageing in oak barrels. Opening with refreshing woody (cedar) and balsamic notes, the bouquet reveals, on aeration, tasty fragrances of butterscotch, marzipan, vanilla and also spicy notes (nutmeg, cloves, black pepper).

With a beautiful freshness, the palate delights with its silky texture, its elegance, its aromatic richness as well as its persistent and complex finish.
