Description
The structure and balance of a great Argentine red wine
The property
Located in Mendoza, the Zuccardi estate is recognized as one of the estates producing very great wines in Argentina. Sebastián Zuccardi is the third generation of winemakers on this family estate whose history began in 1963 when his grandfather planted the first hectares of vines in Maipú. Since January 2000 Sebastián Zuccardi has been at the head of a vineyard of over 200 hectares at the foot of the Andes, whose wines reflect the richness of the terroirs of the Uco Valley.
Coming from a visionary and resolutely forward-looking family, Sebastián Zuccardi has since 2008 created a research and development unit dedicated to optimizing practices within the vineyard and inaugurated in 2016 a cellar housing tanks and amphorae of unique shape, the result of many years of research in order to work the juices as naturally as possible, while limiting human intervention, in order to preserve the characteristics of each vineyard and to magnify their expression during vinification.
Recognized as one of the best winemakers in South America, Sebastián Zuccardi produces wines adored by connoisseurs and praised by critics.
Voted in 2019 and 2020 as the best vineyard in South America, the Zuccardi family estate was voted the best vineyard in the World in 2020.
