Description
A real jewel, this Grand Cru champagne is the result of a careful selection of wines, with a flawless intensity and complexity
The estate
With over 170 years of experience, the André Bergère family has put down roots in the Fèrebrianges region. Balancing tradition and skill, their strength lies in, above all, their passion. Passion for their unique terroir and dedication to their vines are strong values that are at the heart of their creations. Today, Adrien and Annaelle Bergère are at the head of the estate, brilliantly distinguishing the 65 hectares of vines inherited from their grandfather.
The vineyard
Evolving on the chalky terroir of Avize Grand Cru in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, only the best plots are selected to create Cuvée 38-40, a Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut from Maison André Bergère. From old vines, the grapes are meticulously sorted to achieve the best quality.
Winemaking and ageing
The vinification and ageing of this champagne takes place on the lees in stainless steel vats in order to preserve all the freshness of the wine, which is not filtered, to preserve its optimal quality.
Grape variety
Chardonnay (100%)

With a subtle golden colour, the colour has a beautiful shining quality and fine delicate bubbles.

Ripe fruit scents initially emerge, such as apricot and peach, before giving way to a more complex aromatic palette. Roasted notes and toasted almonds complete this intense bouquet.
Palate
Structured and lively, the palate has a lovely persistence on surprisingly fine notes of white grapes.
