Description

A Brut champagne that delights with delicious finesse

The estate

The property of the emblematic Louis Roederer Champagne House, Théophile unveils cuvées that exude all the quality of the great Champagne terroirs and a perfect mastery of blending.

The vineyard

This non-vintage Brut cuvée from Théophile is made from the young vines of Louis Roederer's vineyard combined with plots of Pinot Meunier from the traditional Champagne crus of the Marne valley and the western part of the Montagne de Reims.

Winemaking and ageing

50% malolactic fermentation. Aged in bottles for 2 years, resting for a minimum of 6 months after disgorging. This Brut champagne is the result of a blend of 4 years of harvesting and is dosed at 9.5 g/l.

Characteristics and tasting tips for Brut from Théophile

Tasting

Colour
The colour is of a golden yellow with green highlights.

Nose
The nose, with yellow fruit (nectarine) and citrus (preserved lemon) notes presiding, develops gradually into delicious pastry, baked apple, tart tatin and lightly toasted cocoa bean scents.

Palate
Full and juicy from the attack, the palate is light and delicious with a lively effervescence, followed by a lovely freshness at the finish.
