Nestled in the heart of an idyllic setting composed of evergreen oaks, cistus, strawberry trees, and other Mediterranean vegetation, Château Galoupet is a Provence estate rich in 300 years of history.
Château Galoupet, a Rich History
Established in the 18th century and shaped by the winds, this unique location lies between the Massif des Maures, the ancient salt marshes of Hyères, and the Golden Islands. The property benefits from an exceptional terroir that piqued the interest of Louis XIV, leading to the creation of a historic map in the mid-18th century. Known for its Provence rosés since the 19th century, the estate gained renown in 1955 by obtaining the title of Cru Classé Côtes de Provence. Despite the numerous owners who have succeeded one another, the estate's integrity has remained intact for three centuries.
Since 2019, under the direction of Moët Hennessy, Château Galoupet has made it a point of honor to preserve the environment, from the earth to the glass.
Strong Convictions for Exceptional Wines
Château Galoupet spans 77 hectares of classified forests and 69 hectares of organically certified vineyards. Over the past four years, the estate has restored its ecosystem based on three main pillars: biodiversity, water management, and reducing the carbon footprint. Under the direction of Mathieu Meyer, the estate's team meticulously crafts powerful and elegant Provence rosés.
G de Galoupet, an Ode to Subtlety
Made from organically grown grapes, this rosé captivates with its refined aromatic palette, perfectly balancing finesse and character. Special attention is given to the Tibouren grape, a rare and delicate variety, precisely integrated into the blend. It brings a beautiful fruity texture and a saline finish of great elegance. The nose opens with a lively and expressive bouquet. On the palate, the rich and flavorful texture prolongs the aromas of red fruits and citrus with indulgence and freshness. Whether for an aperitif or to enhance your finest meals, this rosé pairs perfectly with a carpaccio of heirloom tomatoes and burrata, langoustines roasted in citrus butter, sushi, or a white fish ceviche.
Château Galoupet, a Great Gastronomic Rosé
To compose this cuvée, a meticulous selection is made from the estate's 40 plots, each managed and vinified independently. To preserve the aromatic intensity, the most structured wines are vinified and aged in demi-muids. Special attention is given to the Tibouren grape, a rare and demanding variety, integrated into the blend for its aromatic complexity, marked by notes of yellow fruits and a subtle saline touch. A true gastronomic rosé, Château Galoupet captivates with both its finesse and its aging potential.
